Chelonian has been booked in for hull blacking and some other work at Newbury Dry dock for the first week of Feb 2009.

1st Feb Frouds Bridge - Newbury

A rather later start than intended saw us underway at 12:10 from Frouds Bridge.

With a Sunset time of 16:45 this meant no slacking on the trip and despite the extremly strong current on the river sections we finally moored up below Greenham lock in newbury at 17:10.

Many of the basic facilities on the boat are currently missing including the fridge, cooker, oven and most importantly water !

Need to get these sorted next Saturday for the trip back.

7th - 8th Feb Newbury - Frouds Bridge via Benham Marsh

With the current bad weather we have decided to curtail the trip and stay overnight in Newbury on the Saturday night taking the trip to the Red House by taxi

On Sunday a 5 hour day returning to Frouds Bridge, though we will be travelling with the current so this should save us some time.
